An awesome trilobite mass mortality plate from Morocco, approx. 500 million years old. There are 8 large Asaphids trilobites, the largest measuring over 10”. What makes this plate so beautiful is that these fossil trilobites absorbed iron and then rusted, giving it a bright orange color and rusty texture. It is displayed on a natural purple heart base, with black walnut dowels, measuring approx. 19” tall, 25” wide, and 8.5” deep, with base.
